We are a team of heart-centered and passionate educators who deeply believe in a holistic approach to drug prevention that addresses the core reasons why youth look to drugs and alcohol for answers. We serve school districts from coast to coast.
Who We Are
Dr. Heather Daly is a scientist, visionary, youth development facilitator, and an educator. Using her unique background of Toxicology (Ph.D.) and Spiritual Psychology (M.A.), she has touched the hearts and minds of thousands of educators and youth with her innovative facilitation style and holistic approach to drug education.
Growing up in a household with two parents who were heavy smokers in upstate New York put her face-to-face with her calling to educate people about the harmful effects of tobacco and the negative consequences of addiction. This experience also compelled Dr. Daly to pursue an education in the field of science. She received her B.A. in Biomathematics from Rutgers University in 1991 and her Ph.D. in Toxicology at the University of Rochester in 1997. After working for a number of years in the corporate world, Dr. Daly realized she was not following her heart and she returned to school to complete a Masters in Spiritual Psychology. Shortly after, Dr. Daly began facilitating Leadership Workshops for at-risk youth in Los Angeles with EduCare Foundation and A World Fit for Kids, both nonprofits with a mission to serve underprivileged youth.
In 2012, Dr. Daly was invited to join the advisory team for a Tobacco Use Prevention and Education Grant (TUPE) with Los Angeles Unified. More specifically, Dr. Daly both educates youth directly, and trains educators to deliver curriculum that not only teaches youth about the harmful effects of tobacco, marijuana and addiction, but also inspires and empowers them to make healthy life choices for themselves. Her work hinges upon the honoring of the inner wisdom of the youth she serves.
In 2013, Dr. Daly founded Courageous Hearts Youth Services, Inc. a 501-(c)-3 non-profit aimed at supporting youth in both outer success & inner fulfillment. More recently, Dr. Daly started an educational consulting services for-profit arm that trains educators with this holistic approach to drug prevention. This corporation donates its profits to Courageous Hearts to further its Mission.
Today, Dr. Daly continues to run both organizations and still finds time to facilitate youth development programs, as well as, advise and consult on grants within the School District. She loves being part of a caring coalition of individuals who have dedicated themselves to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth.
